...Editing...Editing...Editing...DONE!!!..
I have just finished the final editing of the 53 degrees promo video!!! It's a bit longer than I had anticipated, 10 minutes. But I couldn't get it any shorter. All of the statements that I had were cut down the best I could but when you have 8 statements at around a minute each it was bound to be that long I suppose. The srecordings were so different, some were clear, some were awful so the Audacity I had to add bass here take off treble there and in some cases cut the recording right up for it to make any sense. For example, one had a lot of "er"s and "well...er"'s which I had to cut out and others had recorded the question followed by a straight answer not referring to the question that they had asked themselves. All in all I'm quite happy with it. I think the film could have converted better to give it more clarity, I'm not sure why it's a little pixilated, I'll have to look at that more next time I do some filming. I think this project has given me more of an idea of how to promote myself without even using my art itself. |It's quite a thought that the promo isn't about the artwork, but more about the theme and the concept. hmmm..

...And That's A Wrap!!...
Today I have finally finished filming the 53 degrees video!! I went down to the park for the last time with my camera in a jam jar on the end of a pole to find that the pond was completely frozen over. I think that this is going to look great! But it's hard to say at the moment if it will join with what has already been filmed. I have, I think, more than enough footage. I'm happy with what I have filmed and now is the hard task of cutting over 2 hours of film down to 5 minutes with everybody's statements on them. I must admit, it took quite a bit of course doing the filming because I knew that people would be looking at me and wondering what I was doing, even as I walked down to the park with all the gear in a plastic bag. But, actually, I really enjoyed it. I didn't once think about it as soon as I got started. I'm happy! I think that I have done the very hard part, the easy part is the putting it together! er....well...we'll see...

...Underwater Filming Begins...
I went down to Sydney Park today off Brereton Avenue to start on filming the 53 Degrees video. The underwater camera may be crude but by crikey I am so proed of it!!! A jam jar , an extending rooler brush poll, a battery led lamp and a tonne of gaffa tape and we have....Underwater Crookesycam!! I must admit, the first time I put it under water I was terrified I would kill this camera too, but after a couple of test quick dunks under the water it seamed fine! I walked around the pond with the camera under the water for about an hour, the only thing is I had no idea at all what I was filming so....
I have just looked at the footage and it is really good!!! There are a lot that I can't use but what I can use is really good!! I am so impressed!!! Back again tomorrow to film a bit more going the other way around this time so that the sunlight doesn't shine on it too much, and also I've had an idea to film the bridge that goes over the pond from below! Great day!!!
